Talk about a classic Cape Cod beach house. This old gem perches almost precariously on the edge of the dune next to the main cut from the parking lot to Truro's Ballston Beach. I can't count the number of summers I've trudged past it toward a day in the sun. This painting looks up toward the house from water's edge, with its porch and gabled roofs bathed in the clear, yellow morning light. Surrounded by blowing beach grass, steep dunes, and a weathered, half-collapsed protective fence, it's just about as representative as you can get of tradional Outer Cape beach homes.
